WNBA Awards Watch: Can anyone catch A'ja Wilson for MVP?
The 2023 WNBA season is just around the corner, and the race for MVP is already heating up.
Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson is the reigning MVP, and she's the clear favorite to win it again this year. Wilson is one of the most dominant players in the league, and she's coming off a season in which she averaged 19.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game.
But there are a few other players who could challenge Wilson for the MVP award this year. Breanna Stewart of the Seattle Storm is a former MVP herself, and she's still one of the best players in the league. Elena Delle Donne of the Washington Mystics is another former MVP, and she's coming off a season in which she averaged 19.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
Other players who could be in the MVP conversation this year include Candace Parker of the Chicago Sky, Nneka Ogwumike of the Los Angeles Sparks, and DeWanna Bonner of the Connecticut Sun.
