Dan Buettner calls these places Blue Zones and has spent years researching the lifestyle habits of its inhabitants to determine what makes them so special.

Sleep is super important to those living in blue zones. In fact people in regions such as Ikaria often take the time to rest after their midday meal and will even sleep until they wake up on their own.
