Nasa Astronauts Stranded on ISS Due to Starliner Malfunction
Extended Stay for Two Nasa Astronauts
Two NASA astronauts were originally scheduled to stay aboard the International Space Station (ISS) for just one week. However, due to ongoing technical issues with their Starliner spacecraft, they have now been stranded for over two months.
Starliner's Persistent Problems
The Starliner, developed by Boeing, has faced a series of significant problems since its launch in May. These issues have prevented the spacecraft from successfully docking with the ISS, leaving the astronauts with no way to return to Earth.
The astronauts, Sunita Williams and Josh Cassada, were originally scheduled to return in late July. However, the Starliner's continued malfunctions have forced NASA to postpone their return indefinitely.
