Magpies secure services of two promising players
Longstaff and Anderson pen deals until 2026
Newcastle United have announced that Matty Longstaff and Dylan Anderson have signed their first professional contracts with the club.
The 18-year-old Longstaff, a midfielder, has been with the Magpies since he was seven years old and has progressed through the club's youth system.
Anderson, a 17-year-old forward, joined Newcastle from Morecambe in 2021, and has impressed at both youth and reserve team level.
Both players have represented England at youth level, and are seen as two of the most promising young talents in the Magpies' academy.
Newcastle's head of academy recruitment, Steve Harper, said: "Matty and Dylan are two very talented young players and we are delighted that they have signed their first professional contracts with the club."
"They have both shown great potential in our youth teams, and we believe that they have the ability to go on and have successful careers at Newcastle United."
