Ryan John "Rowdy" Tellez (tə-LEZ tə-LEZ; born March 16, 1995) is an American professional baseball first baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Tellez was born in Sacramento, California, and attended Elk Grove High School. He was drafted by the Blue Jays in the first round (30th overall) of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, and made his MLB debut with the team in 2018.
Tellez has been a valuable contributor to the Brewers since joining the team in 2021. He is a powerful hitter with a good eye at the plate, and he has also shown good power and range in the field. In 2022, Tellez is batting .263 with 19 home runs and 57 RBIs.
Tellez is a rising star in the MLB, and he is expected to continue to be a key contributor to the Brewers for years to come.
